Connectus Global provides Health Canada approved SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) PCR Testing for both national and international travel along with jobsite and event access. Our facilities are operated by qualified and professional staff with a mandate to provide the customer with timely results. Test results will be sent electronically in the form of a border friendly Digital Health Passport which can be viewed on your mobile handheld and can be conveniently presented at any border crossing or jobsite entry point.

Information For Patients
The Process

These tests are conducted by trained professionals via a Nasopharyngeal Swab at our clinic location. The swab is then analyzed through our certified process and results are entered into system. The test results will be sent electronically to the traveller/worker via our laboratory when results have been produced and analyzed.

Once the traveller/worker arrives at the clinic, they will be asked to produce all required information. This will be entered into our EMR and into Connectus Global database to be able to produce the electronic results to be sent to the traveller/worker. All information is entered into secure and encrypted platforms, Connectus ensure that your information is protected.

Once the staff have gathered all information required, you will be taken to an exam room to conduct the swabbing. The staff member, will ensure that you are fit for testing and the Nasopharyngeal Swab will be taken. Your results will be sent to your
email address that you provided at the time of your appointment.

The traveller or worker is required to provide certain information for testing and produce a valid travel document. These include:

  • Country of travel, including time frame the testing needs to be completed within.
  • The traveller/workers current, valid passport.
  • The traveller/workers valid email address – this will be where your electronic results will be sent.
  • Your current address and contact information.

The patient must be aware of the following for testing to be completed:

  • You must be symptom FREE, to have this testing completed at our location.
  • This is a PRIVATELY PAID test. The cost to the patient is payable at the time of booking online.
  • You will be screened for symptoms of Covid 19 upon arrival to the clinic.
  • You must wear a mask for your appointment.


A Nasopharyngeal swab is the way a sample is collected to conduct SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19) testing. The swab itself looks like a long, small q-tip. Collecting the sample is conducting by inserting the swab into the nose and up the nasal cavity. This swab can be uncomfortable for patients and tends to make your eyes water.

Provincial testing sites are only conducting testing for people who have symptoms or have been exposed to an outbreak. They are NOT conducting testing for individuals who are travelling for non-essential reasons, so this service is not funded by the province.

You will receive your results electronically, via the email address you provided at the time of your appointment. Your results will be emailed directly to you once results are completed and analyzed. Your results will include on the document:

  • Your Full Name, Date of Birth, Email Address, Gender and Nationality.
  • Your Passport Number.
  • The Date and Time that the swabbing was conducted.
  • The type of Swab (Nasopharyngeal).
  • A Negative or Positive Result and the date and time the result was submitted.
  • Which type of testing was conducted (Hyris bCUBE – Targeting E,N Genes – This Real Time RT – PCR platform is Approved by Health Canada) and which Clinic it was performed by (Connectus Global – Victoria).
  • The name and clinic address of the overseeing physician.
  • A scannable QR code (this code may be required by the country you are travelling to).

If you receive a POSITIVE result, the clinic will contact you with further instructions. You will not be cleared to travel and will be required to self-isolate.

If you receive a NEGATIVE result, you are cleared to travel. The results that were emailed to you will need to be produced at the time of check in at the airport. They will review the results to ensure that all required information is there and that the results are NEGATIVE.

An inconclusive or invalid result is neither positive nor negative. This result can occur from an inadequate sample collection, very early-stage infection, or for patients close to recovery. With an inconclusive or invalid result, you will not be cleared to travel, and collecting and testing another sample is recommended. If you receive an inconclusive or invalid on your electronic test results from Connectus – Victoria, you have the option of booking a repeat test through our clinic, or you may have your repeat test performed through a provincial testing site. Please contact the clinic as soon as possible to schedule another appointment if you wish to have us perform your repeat test. If a second swab done through our clinic shows another inconclusive or invalid result, you will be directed to go for testing at a provincial testing site.

We specifically use the PCR-based NAAT – Nucleic Acid Amplification Test, otherwise known as the RT-PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test. This is the official test required by countries and airlines who require PCR based Covid-19 testing.

No. Connectus does not provide antibody testing for COVID-19 infection. However, we can refer you to a link that does provide antibody and antigen tests for purchase and self-administration.

The actual swab test itself takes about 2 minutes to complete. The swab test is quick and easy.

We understand that travel plans can change. The cancellation policy is that a full refund will be issued if the booked appointment is canceled outside of the 24 hours prior to the appointment.

The payment is forfeited if the cancellation is within the 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Not showing up for your appointment without cancelling will result in full price being charged.

Connectus must collect your contact information to properly administer your private lab, asymptomatic COVID-19 test. We will only collect as much information as we need to contact you to provide your COVID test results. With the lab results, you can return to work, meet travel obligations, or play freely. We will not collect any specific medical information from you, and we will never share your information with anyone except as required by law, or as needed (such as with our accredited lab technicians who are processing your COVID test). We respect your privacy, and we will not share your information outside of our organization, with the exception of a positive result. This is the law in Canada. As healthcare professionals, we respect your right to privacy. We will not market to you or upload your information to any third party.

To get same day results on Friday you must book your test in the morning. Test results will be provided within the time frame that was paid for.
